It was so exciting CFA journey along with EDGE, quite short though. But short in this context means brilliant appraisal to the EDGE team, who helped me to crack this hard nut just within 2 years of time frame. A big thanks to Sheila, my trainer at Edge Education, who guided and mentored me through FRM Part II. She possesses thorough knowledge of each concept and its relevance in practical scenario, which makes its’ understanding quite simple. The edge’s sessions and material are designed in such a way that important and relevant concepts are given adequate practice. The mock exams are extremely useful. At Edge, the administrative staff is also easily approachable and helpful.

I would like to begin by thanking EDGE for supporting me throughout the CFA Level II program. Special thanks to Sheela for always being proactive in resolving my doubts. I would specially like to mention the efforts that Sheela and her team at EDGE put in while preparing the course notes as they read through the Curriculum and pick out the most important sections of the course; given how vast the Level II portions are along with the difficulty associated with time management between work and studies, EDGE’s notes were a blessing for me. I would also like to mention the friendly and helpful nature of all admin staff at EDGE. They are extremely active on social media platforms and require a very small turnaround time during working hours which makes it very convenient to connect to the institute whenever the need arises.

Usually in most cases finance and accounting seems to be a dry course. However, in the case of EDGE any student is in for an enriching, at the same time highly interactive session of number crunching and analytical skills. The trainer is hands-on throughout the session and will make sure that the students grasp the methodology. One thing that gives EDGE the ‘edge’ over others is how the trainers trace you back to the concepts which truly makes a student’s foundation of accounting and finance strong. As a student, I particularly liked the way there were real corporate examples all across the world given to reinstate the relevance of a particular concept and its application. Besides the teaching style and methodology, you would have to give EDGE the credit for developing a teaching environment that fosters greater learning. Most of the institutes I’ve enrolled in absolutely neglect the fact that lighting and seating can clearly make or break one’s willingness to learn and concentrate on the subject material. In the case of accounting and finance, we usually expect dreary and gloomy rooms. However, EDGE makes sure that all of its students are comfortable and participative throughout the course.

Sheela has been an integral part of my journey as I pursued the CFA program. Her style of teaching and attitude towards learning bolstered efforts from my end to work harder and clear the exam. The material was thorough and I only used the slide pack to prep for the exam. However, it was slightly inconvenient that the book was not available in advance and we had to used printed slides. Attentive and available I did not use the study rooms as much but I would acknowledge the action plan towards COVID, in terms of social distancing and cleaning prior to class.

Very good dedication from the tutor. She does not do it just for the sake of it but she is truly interested in your passing. What makes edge outstanding is sheela. Other aspects are mediocre. She brings life into the sessions.
